In 2019, members voted to pass a resolution that would increase ACFO-ACAF union dues annually in accordance with the Canadian consumer price index (CPI) for the previous year. This annual increase is to ensure that ACFO-ACAF can continue to provide high-quality services to our members as the demand for our services continues to increase.
On January 17, 2023, Statistics Canada announced that CPI for the previous year was 6.3%. As a result, effective April 1, 2023, ACFO-ACAF dues will be increasing from $65.42/month to $69.54/month.
Despite the 6.3% increase in inflation this past year, our union dues remain among the lowest of the 19 federal public service unions.
The dues adjustment will be made automatically by the employer and reflected on your paystub, so no action is required. However, if you have any questions about the dues increase, or if you notice any errors in your union dues on April 1, please contact info@acfo-acaf.com.
