ACFO’s 23rd AGM was held on Wednesday, Nov. 28th 2012 at the Ottawa Convention Center following FMI PD Week sessions.

It was attended by over 80 FIs, one of the largest turn-outs in the Association’s history.

At the AGM, ACFO President Milt Isaacs outlined the Association’s 2013 budget and strategic direction, and delivered a presentation providing historical perspectives regarding the Association’s membership, revenues, expenses, and caseloads.

Lead Directors provided updates on ACFO’s major initiatives, including the status of collective bargaining negotiations, workforce adjustments, the pay equity filing, the Departmental Rep program, and professional development.

Presentations were also delivered from ACFO’s Executive Director Dan Larose regarding recent developments in the Association’s operations, and Director of Labour Relations Scott Chamberlain regarding ACFO’s labour relations activities and trends.

Directors and staff also addressed questions on a range of issues from FIs in attendance.

In total, 390 members voted online and 12 in-person at the AGM.

To ensure a transparent and independent process, ACFO uses third-party contractors to administer and audit its voting process.

The Association congratulates Milt Isaacs on his re-election as ACFO President for a third term, and thanks all FIs who attended the AGM and participated in the voting process.
