ACFO Proud to Sponsor the Speaker at Salvation Army Hope in the City Breakfast
As part of its commitment to being a responsible contributor to society, ACFO was a sponsor of the Salvation Army 2011 Hope in the City Breakfast at the Ottawa Convention Center on November 17th 2011.
Hope in the City is an annual event that kicks off the Salvation Army’s fund-raising season. As a leadership event, it brought together prominent business leaders, influential community members, foundation directors and political decision makers.
Thanks to our Association’s Speaker sponsorship, attendees were treated to a keynote address from Senator Roméo Dallaire, former Canadian Armed Forces Lieutenant General and award-winning author. Mr. Dallaire gave a presentation on the issues of leadership, teamwork, and ethics – three traits central to the role of today’s Finance Officers.
ACFO’s donation on behalf of the FI Community helps ensure the Salvation Army can continue to provide much-needed support for 1.6 million vulnerable children and families in 400 communities across Canada every year.
