The Senate Committee on Human Rights drew heavily on the written and oral submissions made by ACFO President Milt Isaacs in their report on the Public Service Equitable Compensation Act (PSECA).

The report, which extensively quotes Isaacs, calls on the government to “create a mechanism to allow for consultation in the development of the PSECA regulations” and to commit to a three-year review of the Act – recommendations contained in the ACFO submission.

The report also called on the government to “ensure adequate funding and resources are available for pay equity assessments and job classification” – a key theme in the ACFO presentation.

Isaacs presented before the committee on behalf of the FI Community in May along with colleagues from the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada and the Public Service Alliance of Canada.
