ACFO’s Compensation and Benefits Committee is currently looking for new members as we prepare to enter into collective bargaining with Treasury Board and NAV CANADA.

As a committee member, your main functions would be to prepare bargaining proposals and assist the negotiating team throughout negotiations.

Participation is voluntary and open to all members of the FI Community. Committee members meet via teleconference and in person in Ottawa, as required. As both FI Collective Agreements (public service and NAV CANADA) expire this year, we need volunteers from both bargaining units.

We are also inviting the entire FI Community to submit their suggestions for proposals to bring to the bargaining table. While the Expenditure Restraint Act caps financial increases to 1.5 percent for each of the next two years for the public service there are a number of other areas in which we hope to make progress, including professional development and leave entitlements.

To express your interest in joining the committee, or to submit your suggestions or comments on proposals, please e-mail our Negotiator Scott Chamberlain at schamberlain@acfo-acaf.com before June 26, 2009.
