SUBJECT: Imbalance between net cheque amounts for the month of August
This is to advise you that there will be an unusual difference between the net amount of the first and the second pay for the month of August. Although the total net pay for the month of August will be correct, the net amount of the first pay may be significantly greater than the second pay. In light of this information, please ensure that you advise employees to budget accordingly for the month of August.
In addition, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) will be attempting to contact by telephone employees whose net pay is affected by an amount greater than $100.
The system problem that caused this imbalance has been corrected and payments issued for the first and second pay of September will be balanced.
