ACFO-ACAF is seeking your input in order to determine which members have had pay issues due to Phoenix, and for how much, since the last round of damages.

As you may remember, in 2019, a subcommittee of federal public service unions and the employer reached an agreement to add two days of annual leave to employees’ leave banks if employed during the 2016-17 fiscal year, as well as an additional day of leave for every fiscal year of employment until March 31, 2020. Bargaining agents are seeking additional damages for outstanding payments to employees since 2020.

Therefore, we ask that all members complete the following two-question survey, which should only take a minute to complete, about how much you are owed since March 31, 2020, and for how long you’ve been owed that amount. Members received a link to complete the survey in their inbox on March 17, 2023.

Even if you haven’t had pay issues due to Phoenix, we strongly encourage you to complete the two questions, as we’re seeking a high response rate so that the employer can’t discredit the survey’s data.

We’d also like to remind any members who are still owed more than $1,500 in damages that they could be eligible to access to the ‘severe impacts’ damages tier, and to contact labourrelations@acfo-acaf.com if you have not yet done so.

We thank you for your participation and encourage you and your colleagues to complete the survey.
