ACFO-ACAF has scheduled the next session of our ongoing EDI Learning Series. This series of webinars provides ACFO-ACAF members with an opportunity to come together over the lunch hour and discuss topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

During this month’s session, we will be joined by Tiffany Cool from CCDI Consulting to discuss how unconscious biases are one of the main barriers to inclusion that exist in the workplace. The objective of the session is to provide attendees with strategies that they can use to increase awareness and mitigate the impact of bias in their workplace.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Differentiate between bias, stereotype, prejudice, and discrimination;
  • Evaluate their reliable sources of bias;
  • Reflect on their biases;
  • Recognize workplace behaviours and decisions that may influence bias; and
  • Apply strategies to manage the effects of unconscious bias in the workplace.

A session in English will be taking place on Friday, February 16, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm ET and will be directly followed by a French session that will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 pm ET. The sessions will be hosted virtually on MS Teams.
