Applications for free training in the fall term of the Joint Career Development Program (JCDP) are now being accepted. Check out highly-sought-after opportunities like our Interchange Programs, take advantage of deep and rich learning opportunities in leadership and data science, or choose from a classroom course in a topic of your choice.

We know there is a lot going on these days, but this program, managed in partnership with the employer through the Office of the Comptroller General, provides ACFO-ACAF’s public service members with an incredible opportunity to invest in your professional development. We strongly encourage you to speak to your manager and apply for training that is supported by senior leadership and offered to you free of charge.

Fall semester offerings

Regional and NRC Interchanges are back, giving you a chance to spend a week in a whole new environment and see what life is like for your CT colleagues on the other side of the NCR/regional divide.

The immersive, multi-modal CT Academy program is rolling out to the broader community, with the Management Track offering newly minted supervisors a deep dive into all of the skills needed to be an effective team lead plus a new Data Track being piloted for those wanting to become more proficient analysts in a data-driven world.

A wide range of classroom courses are once again on offer, with popular topics including communications and influence; workplace ethics; and Power BI returning to the program. We’re also rolling out a certificate in mental health first aid for the first time through the JCDP!

Learn more about all of these offerings on the new ACFO-ACAF professional development microsite.

How to take part

As usual, participants for classroom training and our interchange programs will be chosen via lottery, as will the CT Academy learning tracks. So if you’re interested in any of those, submit your lottery application by Friday, June 21
