ACFO-ACAF EDI Learning Series: Invisible disability
ACFO-ACAF has scheduled the next session of our ongoing EDI Learning Series. This series of webinars provides ACFO-ACAF members with an opportunity to come together over the lunch hour and discuss topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
This session focuses on invisible disability and will feature a presentation from the co-founder of the World Wide Hearing (WWH) Foundation and CEO of earAccess, Audra Renyi. The two organizations were established with the intention of helping underprivileged people with hearing loss, ensuring that hearing aids and other necessary services are available to those who need them. During her presentation, Audra will discuss a number of topics including:
- What an invisible disability is;
- What it’s like to live with an invisible disability; and
- Showcase some of the work that her team has done to help the hearing impaired.
The session in English will be taking place on Tuesday, January 16, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm ET and will be directly followed by a French session that will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 pm ET. The sessions will be hosted virtually on MS Teams.
