ACFO President Milt Isaacs was quoted in the Ottawa Citizen saying that if the government intends to make further cuts they should be accountable and specify what to cut rather than forcing departments to be creative to find savings.

“At this point, it is a Hail Mary on accountability and transparency is a nice dream … if we cut more in the back office, we won’t know if people are having their way with public funds or not. It’s time the government disclosed what programs and infrastructure they are willing to cut that could put the public at more risk.”
