Get the full potential of ACFO's FI Community group on LinkedIn
ACFO has created a LinkedIn group for our membership to network with each other, share information such as best practices and insights into how work is done across Departments, and discuss job openings.
There are a number of ways to be active on ACFO’s FI Community group to get the full potential of the network.
Connect with other group members
Click on the Members tab to see all the FIs who have joined the group. Select a member to bring up their profile, where you can see information they have provided such as their work history, professional interests, and how you may be connected to each other. You can click the yellow “Connect” button near the top right of their profile page to request to be a first-degree connection to that individual – the business network equivalent of “friending” them.
Start a conversation
From the Discussions tab, type your thoughts into the box labeled “start a conversation or share something with the group,” and hit the Share button to post a new discussion thread. If you want to add a link to a website, for example to share a news article or work description, click on the “attach a link” button.
Comment on a conversation
Underneath each discussion thread is a number of options. You can “like” comment to show your support for it, “comment” on it to add your two cents to the discussion, or “follow” the conversation to receive notifications when others add to the discussion thread.
Remember, one lucky winner will be drawn from the FI Community group at the conclusion of FMI PD Week and win a 3D TV sponsored by Future Shop. Join the group before November 25, 2011 to be eligible to win.
