The State of the FI Community Survey is one of the best tools ACFO has for advocating for improved working conditions, increased opportunities and better work-life balance for FIs. This year’s survey is now ready for your input.

The survey takes only ten minutes to complete and your confidentiality and anonymity are strictly protected.

The State of the FI Community Survey allows ACFO to assess FIs’ working conditions on a department-by-department basis. We share this information not only with FIs, but also with CFOs, constructively consulting with those from poor-performing departments to help them improve their results and recognizing and encouraging top-performing departments. The information gleaned from the survey has also been successfully used in the workplace, at the bargaining table, in grievances and at LMCCs (Labour-Management Consultation Committees).

The results of the survey will be published in a series of reports that will allow the FI Community to learn which departments provide you with the most opportunities for success and with the rights you deserve. This year we have added questions regarding staffing and familiarity with Office of the Comptroller General (OCG) tools and initiatives to expand our understanding of the issues affecting our Community.

However, the survey is only as good as the number of people who take it. Too few respondents and the statistical accuracy of the survey is compromised, resulting in the loss of a valuable source of information for ACFO and a valuable tool in our advocacy toolbox. Each FI’s input is incredibly important and we strongly encourage you to participate.
