Interim measures introduced for negotiations are another step in the right direction
Jun 8, 2016
This morning the government announced it has introduced interim measures for public sector collective bargaining that are intended to improve fairness and balance at the bargaining table as we wait for the official repeal of anti-union legislation C-4 in the fall. As always, ACFO’s goal is to strike an agreement that fairly compensates FIs for the tremendous value you bring to the public service through your expert financial stewardship. Any measures that allow us to come to the table in good faith and with the expectation of a more fair playing field are a step in the right direction. We appreciate the government’s gesture and look forward to even more productive discussions going forward.
