The first public service collective bargaining session took place at ACFO headquarters October 2-4 to discuss the renewal of our collective agreement which expires in November. Your ACFO bargaining team is focused on the communities’ priorities of fair compensation, improvements to work-life balance and ensuring both employment security and advancement.

The teams were able to present all of their respective demands and sign off on several administrative items. We also held detailed discussions on ACFO’s demand for rules against contracting out and the recognition of an employee’s right to disconnect from work outside of work hours.

The next bargaining dates have been set for the week of November 12. If you have questions about the bargaining process or if you’d like more information, please contact Scott Chamberlain (schamberlain@acfo-acaf.com).
