Regional Tune Up series gets added value
The Regional Tune Up series will resume in the New Year and the events will be longer with added value. Due to the positive feedback we received from previous events, this winter’s Regional Tune Ups will be full-day events instead of half days as originally scheduled.
In addition, in case you missed it, ACFO events are now classified as training for FIs, so it should be easier for you to get approval from your employer to attend these inspiring and informative events.
The next Regional Tune Up sessions will take place in four different cities across Canada in January and February 2018. These free sessions will include inspiring keynotes and a presentation from the Office of the General Comptroller on career development in the morning followed by a town-hall-style lunch from ACFO. Afternoon sessions will vary by location and will feature leaders in the financial management community. A more detailed schedule will be available shortly. For each event, a complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served.
In addition to professional development, Regional Tune Up events are also a good opportunity for members to receive important updates on ACFO’s work and get a chance to meet staff and board members. It’s also an opportunity to network with your fellow FIs. Sessions are expected to run from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
This year’s Regional Tune Up events are funded through the Joint Career Development Program (JCDP) managed by ACFO and the Office of the Comptroller General (OCG).
