OTTAWA – We are pleased to announce that Mr. Robert Loiselle is the new Chair of the ACFO Compensation and Benefits Committee, effective April 27th, 2007. Mr. Loiselle is currently a Vice-President on the ACFO Board. He has chaired the Education and the Classification Renewal committees.

The Compensation and Benefits Committee achieved significant gains in the latest Collective Agreement, including allowances at the top end of each FI level, professional fees for CA, CGA and CMA students, and five days of annual leave in lieu of marriage leave. Thank you to the Committee members who worked hard to contribute to this success.

The Committee would now like to increase its membership. In particular, the Committee invites more member representation from within the Francophone community, the National Capital Region, and from larger departments such as Service Canada, and Public Works and Government Services Canada. Increased member participation helps the Committee accurately represent FI interests, as well as build a stronger case for the next bargaining round.

Members interested in joining the Compensation and Benefits Committee should email Mr. Loiselle at rloiselle@acfo-acaf.com.

Mr. Loiselle would like to thank all members and assure you that the Committee will continue working with your best interests in mind.
