My fellow CTs,
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, ACFO-ACAF Vice President Nicole Bishop Tempke has accepted a position outside of the represented CT Community and, as such, has resigned from her seat on the ACFO-ACAF Board of Directors. As today is her last official day, I wanted to take a moment to recognize her incredible service and leadership and I know you will all join me in wishing her all the best.
Nicole first got involved as a member of the collective bargaining committee almost 15 years ago and has spent more than a decade as a member of our board. Her contributions and accomplishments are too many to list but I wanted, in particular, to point to her leadership in our long fight to achieve pay equity for our group. The agreement reached last year to carry out a joint study and finally resolve this long-standing issue is a fitting a testament to Nicole’s passionate advocacy, resilience and commitment to our community.
Nicole represents the best of what our community has to offer – she’s a dedicated professional who cares about supporting the people around her and setting them up for success. She’ll be dearly missed on our board but we’re all fortunate to count her as a friend and colleague.
All the best in whatever you take on next, Nicole.
